What A Laugh: Chapter 1 Part 4

The Joker let out a reel of cackling laughter, interjected only by sharp breaths. Andy stared at him worriedly. Maybe he was completely going crazy?

"Hah ha haha ha ahhhar..." Spluttered The Joker. "Why would you wanna know where we're going huh?" he asked. It was a rhetorical question. "You're finally becoming scared, Andy... you know that huh? I know that..."

He took his eyes off the road again. "Why the hell are ya scared when you're with me, Andy? With me...you're safe!" Another burst of maniacal laughter came deep from his throat, corse and gravel-like.

Andy nervously turned his face away from The Joker's eyes and stared out of the window. The laughing stopped.

"Andy...I'm sorry...I don't mean ta scare ya bud, you understans that...it's just, I'm sick to hell and beyond of people not taking me seriously..." The Joker's voice became serious and it was undertoned with sadness that made Andy turn back.

"I'm sorry too, boss..." he began.

"Fooled you!" Roared The Joker, "Death to ya, Andy!"
